“Anti-Transgender protesters” (as pink news have called them) with straight up terfy bullshit hijacked and were allowed to lead London pride “march” by organisers on 07/07/18. They walked while holding up signs and handing out leaflets (as seen in pics above) of their propaganda.

Needles to say this kind of transmisogyny needs to be shut down. The disgusting lies they spread falls on to naive people and can be damaging to our community. Not only that but it pushes the violence towards trans women in society further. We need to organise, be there and be prepared for when this kind of thing happens and counter it. The fact that this was allowed to happen and people did nothing is disgusting.

Yep. Only 10 terfs roughly. There was 30,000 people marching and hundreds of thousands in the crowd, yet nobody did shit. Not acceptable at all.

Actually, people did do something.  The parade organizers were unaware of them at first, but when someone finally brought them to the organizers attention, they were asked to leave.  They laid down in the street for like 10 minutes to try to disrupt the parade, but were ultimately kicked out. The parade organizers then publicly condemned the “stunt”.

It’s terrible that people didn’t do something like, immediately.  But given the current climate, i bet people thought that they were actually allowed to be there and not crashers, ugh.

This is terrible and TERFs are the worst, but I think it’s important for folks to know that as soon as they knew, the organizers did the right thing at least.

Okay so I’ve been trying to keep quiet about this because my friends shouldn’t have to have more exposure but couple things I want to add that seem to be missing in this post.

First of all. Trans people did something.

Second, the police stopped trans people from doing something.

Third, pride organisers were on the terfs’ side until significant pressure from trans people and allies pushed them to give a non-committal half-hearted apology and condemnation of terfs.

I want to emphasise, police presence was a significant factor in why this terf stunt worked out as well as it did. That fact I don’t see anyone mentioning the police in this post or in the linked independent article is a really serious concern for me.
